Overview
Haystack is a framework for assembling retrieval pipelines: document stores, retrievers, readers and generators composed into a graph you can inspect. It solves the problem that a RAG system is not one component but a pipeline, and the quality usually comes from the arrangement rather than from any single part. It exists because explicit pipelines make that arrangement visible and testable instead of buried in application code.
