Claude
Anthropic's hosted model family, positioned around long-context work and safety.
Overview
Claude is a family of hosted language models reached through an API rather than downloaded. It solves the problem of getting frontier capability without operating any inference infrastructure, which is the right trade when traffic is unpredictable or the task genuinely needs a large model. It exists as one of the small number of closed frontier families, so choosing between them is a question of measured quality on your task, latency and price rather than of architecture.
