SQLite
Embedded relational database, used for local-first vector search.
Overview
SQLite is a relational database that runs in-process with no server, which makes it the default storage for desktop and mobile applications. It solves the problem that a local application cannot require its user to operate a database server. It exists in an AI stack because extensions like sqlite-vec bring vector search into the same file, so a local assistant ships without a separate index.
