Redis
In-memory data store whose vector search runs in the same place as the cache.
Overview
Redis is an in-memory data store that added vector indexing to the data types it already served. It solves the latency problem in retrieval: if the embedding index lives in the same process that already holds the session and cache, a lookup costs one round trip rather than two. It exists because for small collections the index fits in memory comfortably, and the operational saving of not running another system is real.
