Machine Learning
Field of building systems that improve at a task from data rather than from explicit rules.
Overview
Machine learning is the practice of training a system to perform a task by showing it examples instead of programming the rules. It solves problems whose rules are too numerous or too subtle to write down, such as recognising a face or ranking a search result. It exists because for many tasks it is far easier to collect examples of correct behaviour than to specify that behaviour. Deep learning, and therefore every model in this graph, is a branch of it.
