SQuAD
Questions written by people about Wikipedia articles with answer spans.

SQuAD pairs paragraphs from Wikipedia with questions whose answers are a span of the passage. It solves the problem that question answering had no shared test set, so results were not comparable. It exists as the benchmark that defined extractive question answering, and its format is still what most retrieval and reading-comprehension evaluation is derived from.
